1st Impression Ironworks was recently honored as a finalist for the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics. That’s when the ripple effect began. At the Torch Awards ceremony, Desert Financial Credit Union presented 1st Impression Ironworks with a financial gift intended to help a worthy organization of our choice. So we partnered with Midwest Food Bank, dedicated to alleviating hunger in the community.

The focal point of 1st Impression’s efforts for Midwest Food Bank was the creation and delivery of over 500 holiday meal kits for Arizona’s needy families. The kits were carefully curated to include essentials like canned goods (soups, vegetables), cereal, rice, beans, stuffing, instant potatoes, and chicken broth. The goal was not just to provide sustenance but to transform an empty box into a symbol of hope for families facing challenges during the holiday season.

The event brought together the collective efforts of 1st Impression Ironworks, Midwest Food Bank, and several other businesses and families eager to make a difference. With over 20 FII employees and family members in attendance, the sense of community was palpable. Working in harmony, the group formed an assembly line to build, label, fill, seal, and palletize the holiday meal kits.

Laughter and friendship filled the air as employees and volunteers worked side by side, driven by a common goal. Every step in the process, from labeling the boxes to stacking them for delivery, represented a step closer to bringing joy to families in need.

This charitable event was not a one-time affair for 1st Impression Ironworks. Inspired by the success and the positive impact on their community, FII is committed to an ongoing partnership with Midwest Food Bank.
